Dear Wilhelm Tux,

The Free Software Foundation Europe (FSFE) is a charity that empowers
users to control technology. Every year on the 14th of February we
celebrate the “I Love Free Software Day”. On this day we show our
appreciation for every Free Software contributor.

Throughout the year, we rely on Free Software contributors, whether it's
to quickly fix bugs or to make the software the best it can be. That's
why FSFE has chosen February 14 to celebrate “I Love Free Software
Day”, as a way of saying thank you to all Free Software contributors.
Let's get together and celebrate the valuable work of Free Software
contributors. For the upcoming year, the theme is called “Hidden
projects” and the focus is on Free Software projects who form the
backbone of our infrastructure. Let’s highlight those who program and
work on the essential parts of the Free Software ecosystem.

Be part of this year’s “I Love Free Software Day” and show your
appreciation for Free Software contributors around the world!
You can:

Think about a Free Software project that is not often enough recognised
as part of our core infrastructure.
Create a short video with a thank you message to your favourite Free
Software project(s) and share it on your social media networks using the
hashtag #ilovefs.
Create a Sharepic with our Sharepic Generator and include a personal
thank you message. You can post it on social media with the hashtag
#ilovefs. https://sharepic.fsfe.org/#ilovefs

Organise a local get-together with your colleagues, friends or family
to celebrate your love for Free Software and its’ contributors. Please
feel free to share any event you are organising with us
(https://fsfe.org/events) so we can send you decoration material and
promote it on https://ilovefs.org

For more information, ideas and inspirations check our main page:
https://ilovefs.org

The more people participate, in the “I Love Free Software Day” the more
we can show how important Free Software is for our society. Take a few
moments on Friday, 14th of February 2025, and highlight the importance
of Free Software and its contributors!

Thank you!
If you have any questions feel free to reach out to us at any time.

Kind regards,
Erika Piric and Bonnie Mehring
