there does seem to be a problem. Besides, I understand very little about
technical things, so I like and need clearly described products. I found
the EBG's description of their testing tool verbose, jargoning and hazy,
compared to e.g. descriptions of Firefox or Thundebird extensions.
One odd thing too: in the FAQ page, the contact person for technical
support does not have an @ebg.admin.ch address, and the handle is
lohntool at ... There is a lohntool.exe program to calculate salaries,
made by rosesoft.de. And their
http://www.rosesoft.de/download.htm page also lacks clear descriptions
of the products and their requirements.
But whether the EBG outsourced the test conception to rosesoft.de or
not, maybe we could ask them to publish a list of the macros the test
uses, so that other versions for other softwares/OS's can be made?
